A trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We took our first trip to the pumpkin patch on Sunday. It was a great day to be outside and Eli and Elana had so much fun picking out their pumpkins.

Elana loved every pumpkin
that she saw.

Eli liked to get the dirt off.

After going home and getting a little help from dad

They both can't wait to dress up for Halloween and are really loving daycare. Most days they don't want to come home. Elana is really into her babies and playing house. Eli says that he can't wait for snow to go snowmobiling with daddy.

Let's Go Fishin'!!

Eli and Elana really enjoyed fishing with Grandpa Dave this weekend. They didn't catch anything-2 1/2 year old patience isn't the greatest for fishing-but still had tons of fun.
Grandpa even found little fishing poles for them. They thought it was pretty neat that Uncle Patrick used to use them.
Eli and Elana have been having a lot of fun at daycare. They start school this week once the big kids go to school, and are very excited for it. We can't believe how old they are getting-and a little too smart for their (or our) own good!

Summer Fun

Here are a few pictures of some of the fun things we have done this summer.

Eli and Elana had a lot of fun on our trip to Military Museum at Camp Ripley.

We also went to the zoo in Little Falls that day as well (I didn't get any good pictures of them at the zoo-this is the only one)

They got to take a ride on Grandpa Dave's boat-he let them both drive. Eli was a very good driver, Elana liked to go in circles! Then they enjoyed playing in the water at the beach.

Busy Big Kids!

Eli and Elana have had a busy first few weeks of summer. We celebrated their Uncle Patrick's graduation from High School-they loved the big party for him.

We decided that our babies aren't babies anymore and got them a 4-Wheeler. Elana is a crazy driver, she has no fear. Eli is a little more cautious making sure that he's driving it right. They've gotten pretty good at driving it. Eli had a lot of fun helping his Grandpa Ken by puting stuff on the back of it and bringing it to him.

They will be starting daycare in the next few weeks and are looking forward to playing with all the other kids. Eli is getting excited for the parades that are coming up. He can't wait to ride in a tow truck. Elana still loves her babies. They are two at daycare and I have a feeling she will be a big helper.

Spring Time Fun!

Eli and Elana are really enjoying the nice weather. It's hard to get them to come in the house and every time they see a park they want to stop and play. They finally got to play with their bubble mowers that they got for their birthday and love them! Now we're just trying to find bikes that are small enough for them (they are a little short-wonder where they get that from!) We're looking forward to a fun summer of going to the zoo, beach, pool and parks!

April Snow

Elana & Eli had tons of fun in the snow that we got last Friday. They were good little helpers-trying to shovel the driveway. Eli even got out his "digger" but the snow was a little heavy.
The snow was so deep they had a hard time walking around and resorted to crawling across the front yard.

Elana trying to make a snow angel-she got stuck!
Hopefully this is the last of the snow and we can play outside all the time. They are excited to play on their slide and in the sand box. Eli is on flower patrol and looks all over the yard for new flowers. And they both love all the birds that we have around our house.

A New Cousin

Eli and Elana welcomed a new cousin on March 1st. Jackson David Mead joins his older brother Landon and two very excited cousins. They both just love him. Elana can't get enough of him and loves to hold him. Eli isn't sure what to do with him but says that he can't wait to play cars with him. Seeing my "babies" holding another baby really made me realize how grown up they are getting. They are at such a fun age right now (besides the tempers and being a little mouthy). They are talking up a storm and most of the time we can't believe what comes out of their mouths.

Frosty Birthday Party

We celebrated Elana & Eli's 2nd birthday with a "Frosty the Snowman" party. Aunt Laura made the wonderful cake and even little ones for each of them. Eating their little snowman cakes.
Eli loved opening his presents. Elana loved the cake!

They had a wonderful time at their party. They are enjoying their new presents. And seem to be enjoying being "2". Let's just hope mom & dad will survive the year of having two 2 year olds!
