Visit with Santa

We took Eli and Elana to see Santa the other day. Elana was very excited since she loves everything having to do with him. Eli was a little shy but at least we got a good picture. Elana told him that she wants a baby and since Eli wouldn't talk she told him that Eli wanted a "cool car"
I'm sure they are going to have so much fun in the next few days. It's going to be so much fun watching them take everything in. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!

Fun in the snow!

Eli and Elana had a blast playing in the snow. They were pretty little last year when we got snow so it's been fun seeing their reactions to it. Eli thinks that it makes a mess and says that it's "frostying out". Elana loved to eat it, she kept looking at us to make sure that she wasn't doing something wrong.


They also just got haircuts today. I can't believe how grownup they are! They will be two in a month! Elana left those pigtails in for about 20 min-she's such a stinker. Eli sure looks like daddy with his hair all spiked. Aunt Lisa does a great job! :)

Playing house

This past week Eli and Elana have started playing house. They love to feed their animals and babies. It's really neat to see them interact with eachother like this. One of them will cook food on the kitchen set and the other will feed the baby.












They also love everything Christmas. Eli has a train ornament for the tree and Elana's is Elmo.

Trick or Treat

Well, we had a little trouble getting Eli and Elana to wear their costumes last night. This picture is what they were supposed to be-a Fairy and a Giraffe. Neither one of them wanted to wear the costumes on the actual day so I had to improvise.
This is what they ended up being-a Cowboy and a "Rock star princess". (Elana refused to wear a dress but still wanted to bring the wand with)













This is Eli & Elana's cousin Landon, he was Eli's horse!
They seemed to have a lot of fun being silly and getting treats. Hopefully next year they will be a little more willing to wear their costumes.

Fall Fun!

Helping daddy in the backyard. The two of them are a real joy. It's so fun to watch them interact with eachother. Eli calls Elana "Eli's sister". Elana loves to help Eli with everything.

A Day at the Zoo

On Thursday we went to the zoo in Little Falls. Eli and Elana loved it! They are really into the different sounds that animals make so they had fun seeing the real animals.

They are really turning into fun little people. Everyday the learn something new and are starting to copy everything that we say. Eli loves trains and race cars right now. Elana is into Elmo and her babies.

Big Kid Beds

We moved Eli and Elana into their new beds last week. They fell asleep together one night-it was so sweet! We can't believe they are old enough to not be in cribs-they are growing up so fast!

18 months old!

We can't believe that Eli and Elana are 18 months old already! It's amazing to look back and see all the milestones they have reached. We're working on moving into big kid beds real soon-Eli is a monkey and tries to climb out of his crib (we think he's trying to get to Elana)
We are all enjoying summer. We've been to the pool a few times and Elana is a little fish. Eli is a little timid until he gets used to it. They love to play outside at Grandma Cathy's when mommy goes to work.

Parade Weekend!

The four of us rode in the Sauk Rapids Parade on Friday night. Eli rode in the first truck with Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Ken. He had a great time helping grandpa "drive"! Elana rode with mom and dad-she loved all the babies and puppies that we saw on the parade route. On Saturday night Elana stayed with Grandpa Dave and watched Eli, Mommy and Daddy. They had 14 trucks all hooked together! It was amazing to see. Grandpa Ken sure is a great driver!

Parade Time!

Eli and Elana went to their first parade of the season on Saturday. We stopped to see Grandpa Ken and his tow trucks before it started. Eli loved to wave and dance to the bands. Elana loved the suckers and the dancers.

So cute!

We never imagined that our children would be so entertaining. Maybe it's because of the things the two of them come up with. Elana is a little mommy-she won't go anywhere with out one of her babies. Eli is all boy-he loves to be outside and in the sandbox.
